Middlesex use Loughborough University for Preseason Training

23 April, 2010
It’s not every day you turn up to preseason and find yourself sharing facilities with the likes of Andrew Strauss and Steven Finn……..well unless you are a Loughborough MCCU Cricketer you do. Loughborough’s MCCU cricketers had the honour of sharing the ECB National Cricket Performance Centre and Loughborough University’s outdoor facilities with Middlesex CCC during this year's preseason and hope to make it annual event introducing some one day fixtures for next season's preparations.
Middlesex CCC found the experience here at Loughborough University so beneficial to their 2010 preparations, they ended up coming back the following week to finish off where they started.
Ex England player Angus Fraser and now Managing Director of Cricket at Middlesex CCC expressed his appreciation and gratitude insisting that, ‘Loughborough University has played a crucial role in our preparations for the 2010 season. The facilities prepared for Middlesex CCC were of the highest standard and we benefitted enormously from out time there. Graham Dilley and Will Relf could not do enough for us and for that we are truly thankful. I would recommend any side to use the facilities at Loughborough and we are already planning on coming back for an extended period in 2011.'
